Though I planned to finish my Saturday by getting shitfaced at Huntington Beach's Oktoberfest, an email landed in my box that I could not ignore. While the first poster for There Will Be Blood looked like a cover, the film's one-sheet is all about Daniel Day-Lewis.
There Will Be Blood One-Sheet
A sprawling epic about family, greed, corruption, and the pursuit of the American dream. Set in the booming West coast oil fields at the turn of the 20th century, There Will Be Blood follows the rise of rugged prospector Daniel Plainview (Day-Lewis) who becomes an independent oilman after hitting it rich with the strike of a lifetime. Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the film is inspired by Upton Sinclair's novel "Oil!"
Daniel Day-Lewis looks just as nasty as he did in Gangs of New York, and this time he doesn't need the eye.
Updated! Paramount Vantage said we're cool and we can keep it up!
There Will Be Blood
Thanks to 'RonJon' for the great weekend update. Now, time to go celebrate whatever Oktoberfest celebrates -- which I believe is copious amounts of beer.
There Will Be Blood opens to theaters on December 26th.
