George Clooney
Joe Carnahan can't be happy. After announcing last week that Chris Pine would be leaving Carnahan's White Jazz to boldly go over to Abrams' Star Trek, the director has now come to the realization that he will have to let go of George Clooney as well.
Clooney Exits White Jazz
More bad news from Carnahan's blog. Due to scheduling conflicts, George Clooney had to bounce on White Jazz or risk delaying the project's production date.
Rough weekend. I had a bad feeling after they pushed 'Leatherheads' to April because of the extensive post on that film that something was going to have to give. Also, George is neck deep in the Coen bros. film at the moment and trying to do 'Michael Clayton' press which will likely carry over into Awards season...SO...they wanted to see about pushing White Jazz back, which I really don't want to do. I've been waiting awhile to make this one and I wasn't content to sit on my hands.
Carnahan doesn't seem too jaded by the news, as he claims loss of talent is just another part of Hollywood.
