It is striking how often Megan Fox's name gets brought up when discussing Transformers. In a film filled with millions of dollars of top-notch effects, she stole some of the eye candy. Agreed -- she is smokin' hot.
Megan Fox for Jennifer's Body
Diablo Cody, known for quirky scripts to the likes of Juno, has written a (hear this) comedic supernatural thriller titled Jennifer's Body. Though I can't fathom what exactly a comedic supernatural thriller could be, it sounds like a lot of fun; in a Mummy sort of way.
Fox Atomic preemptively picked up the script and are already working with Fox to star.
Jennifer's Body, described as similar in tone to Heathers and Beetlejuice, follows a cheerleader with a perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing boys in a small town. Her best friend must then find a way to stop her.
Like most recent projects, Fox Atomic is doing all they can to fasttrack the project and get it into post-production before the possible writers strike.
Cody's Juno is being released December 14th by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
"(Cody's) upcoming film from our sister division Fox Searchlight, her relationship with Peter Rice and the synergy we have with his team have given Fox Atomic a unique opportunity," said Atomic's president of production Debbie Liebling, who will oversee with Jeff Arkuss.
Like every job nowadays, it is always nice to have your foot in the door.
