Crank
Talk about a spoiler! I have been meaning to catch Crank on DVD and it now seems that I don't have to worry about whether the lead character makes it out okay. Lionsgate has picked up Jason Statham to reprise his role as Chev Chelios in Crank 2: High Voltage.
Jason Statham Injects Crank 2: High Voltage
Jason Statham will film Game with Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall. The film will be shot back to back with Crank 2, as both films are being written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor; the same guys who gave us the original Crank.
Lionsgate will handle North American distribution, while Lakeshore will handle international distribution.
In Crank 2: High Voltage, Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.
Far fetched, I know, but so was the last film.
Game is a high-concept thriller set in a dystopian future that features an ensemble cast including Amber Valletta, Logan Lerman, Alison Lohman, John Leguizamo, Johnny Whitworth, Zoe Bell and Kyra Sedgwick.
Game will be the first of the two to enter production, with principal photography beginning November 5th.
