The Flash
An interesting selection of directors for The Flash. At the beginning of the year we had Night at the Museum's Shawn Levy onboard and now Wedding Crashers' David Dobkin has stepped in to take his place. Whatever Warner Bros. is going for, they are sure striving for some major humor.
David Dobkin to Direct The Flash
MTV Movies Blog reports that The Flash has changed directorial hands once again as the project ran from Levy right into David Dobkin. Though the transition would suggest a setback, Dobkin already knows where the film is going.
Dobkin has already confirmed that the film will take place in the same universe as the upcoming JLA movie -- which will also feature the same character.
“It’s designed to work as a spin-off from [’JLA’], so we’re honoring the story and we’re working in tandem with the storytelling,” he said. “I think we’ll just have to see how the movie does and how it works off it, but it certainly would be a movie that comes after ‘Justice League.’”
Dobkin already knows what version of the Flash we will be seeing, Wally West, and a possible tagline for the film.
You can’t outrun yourself
The selected version of the Flash seems to fit with a recent report from AICN, who claims that JLA opens with Barry Allen's funeral (earlier generation of the Flash).
