G.I. Joe
Now this is interesting! I love it when big names branch out and take on smaller, more complicated roles. Take George Clooney for instance. Currently the lead character in Michael Clayton, Clooney has been getting some stellar reviews. The only problem is that the money isn't there. Clooney, who has starred in just about every type of film there is ranging from high budget to low brow, could be ready to take a shot at another -- must... forget... homoerotic-Batman -- franchise.
Clooney to Command G.I. Joe
Movies.go reports that the reason George Clooney really dropped out of White Jazz is because he is already looking to star in the adaptation of G.I. Joe. Instead of taking a complicated character, Clooney is likely looking to play Duke, aka First Sergeant Conrad S. Hauser, the second-in-command of the G.I. Joe team and the most recognizable character in the franchise.
The part seems to fit, and Clooney already has some military training -- never mind the fact that his eyes absolutely shine when dressed in army fatigues.
