It turns out DreamWorks Animation was only warming the kettle with the promo trailer for Kung Fu Panda. Just today the studio has released not only the film's official poster, but the first feature trailer as well.

Kung Fu Panda, though the trailer doesn't show much from the actual film, looks like one heck of a good time. If the animation is really as good as it looks in the first trailer, then DreamWorks could truly have something here; just as long as they deliver a good story this time. Shrek the Third didn't fair as well as the previous Shrek installments and early reviews for Bee Movie claim the film looks great, but that's about as deep as it goes.
Could Kung Fu Panda fill in the blanks? Hard to say, but the whole karate thing should help carry it a long way.
