Amy Adams
Meryl Streep is looking to show Amy Adams her way around the kitchen in Julie & Julia.
Amy Adams, Meryl Streep for Julie & Julia
Julie & Julia centers on a frustrated temp secretary who embarks on a yearlong culinary quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." She chronicles her trials and tribulations in a blog that catches on with the food crowd.
Streep will play the famous chef while Amy Adams takes the part of mastercook wannabe.
Nora Ephron is attached to direct off a script she is currently adapting from Julie Powell's book Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.
Studio is hoping for a 2008 start date.
Meryl Streep can next be seen in UA's Lions for Lambs. Adams, who I first remember watching in Cruel Intentions 2, has three films coming our way including Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Charlie Wilson's War and Enchanted.
I don't think any of them will hold up to Cruel Intentions 2 though.
