Depending on where you're located, you could be watching a significantly different sorry, longer version of Babylon A.D., the action-thriller starring Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh.

Babylon A.D. Longer... and Shorter

Twitch reports that Babylon A.D. will have two different versions, with European territories getting the longer of the two. Now, when they say 'significantly' longer, it is not your usual eight minutes. The European version of the film is expected to run two hours and forty minutes.

The length makes 20th Century Fox a bit uncomfortable, and we could be seeing something closer to the 120-minute mark here in the States. While a few minutes usually doesn't mean much, a chunk this big could suggest an entirely different film. I don't know what Fox is worried about, as longer-running films have proved repeatedly that they can make just as much at the box office. Maybe there's some sort of health risk on watching too much Vin Diesel.

What? You have better theories?

Babylon A.D. opens to theaters on February 29th.
