I've heard enough and am now doing all I can to check out Beowulf in IMAX 3D. There has already been some hype about the film in the medium and now there is both a featurette and trailer(s) supporting it.

Though they are both only available in Flash, both the trailer and featurette look pretty sick. As an added bonus, TedPerez has another two trailers for the IMAX version as well. Just enough to keep you busy for about ten minutes or so.
The new featurette for Beowulf starts off with a clip we have seen before -- about a hundred times, actually -- then jumps to an interview with IMAX Chairman Greg Foster, who claims that Beowulf is the perfect film for the IMAX 3D format.
"That precision in detail that the filmmakers use to make the movie is so conducive to the IMAX 3D experience."
Well said.
