It looks like CBBC Newsround has the inside track on casting updates for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Earlier this week they announced the role of Narcissa Malfoy and have now (supposedly) discovered who will be playing Lavender Brown.

It looks like Jessie Cave has earned the right to snog Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) in Half-Blood Prince. Jessie is a little old for the part (20), as her looks can be deceiving.

The character Lavender Brown becomes Ron's first girlfriend and first kiss. The two are seen snogging countless times around Hogwarts during his sixth year.
