Thomas Jane
With audiences already praising Beowulf in the 3D medium, it comes as no surprise that other films are ready to give the new dimension a whirl. One such example is The Dark Country, a 3D noir thriller that will be directed by Thomas Jane.
Thomas Jane to Direct The Dark Country
For somebody's feature directing debut, I must admit that the 3D medium might not be the easiest of starts. Thomas Jane will direct The Dark Country off a script by Tab Murphy.
When I say not the easiest of starts, I mean just that. Jane is going to direct one of the first films to be shot simultaneously in 3-D, a format that theaters are slowly being retrofitted for. Other directors claim its a good way to go, but I don't see any of them following suit just yet. The only other director doing the same thing at the moment (that I can think of) is James Cameron. Yes, he's going huge for Avatar, but he is also the proud owner of multiple Oscars.
Starring Ron Perlman and Lauren German, The Dark Country concerns a couple who find their honeymoon to be a hellish adventure.
Jane is a genre enthusiast who has started a graphic novel/horror comics company called Raw Entertainment. You can next see the actor in Stephen King's The Mist.
