I have a tough time picturing Jennifer Garner in a comedy. Maybe it is because the last film I saw her in featured her character kicking the crap out of a burly terrorist, but I don't look at Garner and think, rolling in the aisles.
I have yet to see Juno, however, so maybe there is something here.
Jennifer Garner for This Side of the Truth
Lynda Obst and son Oly Obst are in final negotiations with Garner to have her star opposite Ricky Gervais in the indie comedy This Side of the Truth.
This Side of the Truth takes place in a world where lying doesn't exist, and centers on an Everyman (Gervais) who figures out how to lie and uses his newfound ability to woo a beautiful woman way out of his league (Garner) and become a success at work.
Ricky Gervais wrote the script with Matthew Robinson. The duo will co-direct.
