Another casting update beaming in for Star Trek. Spock must have become jealous when Kirk got a father, as now he has one too.

According to StarTrek, Ben Cross has been picked up by Paramount to play Sarek, Spock's Vulcan father.
Cross, a graduate of London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, rose to international stardom with his breakout role as runner Harold Abrahams in the Academy Award-winning 1981 film Chariots of Fire. He will be seen in the upcoming "Hero Wanted" with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta.
Cross will be making sweet love to Winona Ryder, cast as Spock's mother, so they can crank out a young Spock, played by Zachary Quinto.
