Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
More than any previous Potter, I heard more complaints at omissions from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I stopped reading after Goblet of Fire, so knowing only the movie, I thought it was a fine continuation of the story. But perhaps you devoted fans can tell me if the deleted scenes on the DVD include more of your precious book.
DVD Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
You see Professor Trelawney choking and bumbling at the banquet table, then later in class facing Umbridge. There are a lot of little trimmings of Hogwarts students reacting. There's a snowball fight. Umbridge reacts to the banquet hall mess and has a longer soliloquy in the forest.
None of this seems like vital elements of the book to me. Surely Potter fans will enjoy seeing any additional scenes of Hogwarts action, but nothing really impacts the tight, concise movie story.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End arrives on DVD December 4th.
