It would seem that Nicolas Cage has a new obsession for thrillers. Joining The Vanished back in October, Cage has been picked up by Summit Entertainment for the upcoming thriller, Knowing.

In Knowing, Cage will play a teacher who examines the contents of a time capsule unearthed at his son's elementary school. Startling predictions in the time capsule that have already come true lead him to believe the world is going to end at the close of the week and that he and his son are somehow involved in its destruction.
Alex Proyas must have a thing for apocalyptic events. The helmer last directed I, Robot and is onboard to direct Knowing off a script that he and scribe Stuart Hazeldine polished.
The thriller will enter production March 17th in Melbourne.
