I have a confession to make. When Warner Bros. first announced that Heath Ledger would play the Joker in The
Dark Knight, I couldn't help but be curious, if not worried.
Don't get me wrong, I like Ledger as an actor, but the role didn't seem to fit.
Well,
I saw I Am Legend today and was pleased to discover that not a single one of my friends watching the trailer picked up that Ledger was under all the makeup. That's how good of a job he does.
The Dark Knight Trailer
Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for The Dark Knight on one of Joker's sites. The preview is available in flash and hi-def versions for download.
While I'm sure this trailer doesn't show much, we do get to see plenty of Ledger as the Joker and Batman's Batpod in action. Much of the cast has returned, with Maggie Gyllenhaal coming in as the new romantic interest.
The Dark Knight opens to theaters on July 18, 2008.
