Before seeing I Am Legend this weekend I received an email that I didn't full understand the first time I read it...
The Batman Superman Banner
'Ivan' alerted me to a Batman/Superman banner with a release date:
Just saw I Am Legend and don't understand why no media outlets have commented on the poster in Times Square with the Superman and Batman logos and the date 05-15-10 on it. The same studio owns both franchises.
I thought he saw I Am Legend in New York, and noticed a physical banner there. Wrong!
While watching I Am Legend I immediately snapped forward out of my seat during the film's opening minutes. No, it wasn't scary (just yet), but the deserted New York City showcased in the film plays host to a giant Superman/Batman banner hanging on one of the vacated buildings. The banner shows one logo overlapping the other, with a release date for May, 2010.
What's coming May, 2010? Batman vs. Superman? The next Superman installment? What?
I have sent out multiple emails to Warner Bros. addressing this banner and have yet to hear back from a single one. Expect an update by mid-day Monday.
